History
In 701 a priest who had returned from Korea placed a statue of Jūichimen Kannon Bosatsu in the mountain. This was later found by a couple of hunters who were brothers. They founded this temple. At the main gate, there are huge straw sandals that are remade every hundred years. [Provided by Shikoku Japan 88 Route Guide]
