History
It is believed that if you pray to a bush of bamboo called Kōkō-chiku (bamboo of filial piety) located in front of the Enma-hall on the right side of the main hall you will have a harmonious atmosphere at home. The statue of Fukusazuke Jizō, which sits above the pond on the temple grounds, is said to grant one wish for each person. Also, the temple is compared to hell because it is situated lower than the level of the nearby ground and people believe that when sinful people pass through the gate they will fall into hell.
